HarDior ~ Dior Menswear Autumn Winter 2017

Paris starts the runway season off with menswear. Many top designers present the autumn and winter collection for men. Dior's autumn winter 2017 collection takes a little twist from the traditional high tailored suits to a double tailored collection.
The celebration of this new collection is to Mister Dior with black gloves, blacks with bold colors, and "a celebration of memories and dreams, The energy of youth as a means of facing the future." This new styling is HarDior. It is an attitude of hardcore from mosh pits being pure and raw.

HarDior is a collection that takes the traditional Dior necklace to a key chain. The classical is seen in the collection, but a new twist throughout the collection. The suit takes on a new meaning. The opening look suit is traditional with the hardcore to reach the man who is not a on suit wearing man.  The pants are above the ankle, sleeves 3/4 length, and accessories fitting for a modern man. The tie is a thinner tie with a great tie clip holding it in place.

The styling and accessories fit well with the rave or party scene. The large satchels, pockets, and hooks perfect to carry items like your phone, laptop, or iPadiPad. The great reflective sunglasses and hats bring a youthful touch to the finishing look.  The ability to capture the youth and adult man is key to the success of this line. It brings the monochromatic often found in suits, but adds bright splashes of color in the threading, accessories, or hats.

Inspiration Milan Runway ~ Moschino

Moschino, designed and owned by Jeremy Scott, presents fall winter 2017 menswear collection and a pre-show womenswear at Camera Naztionale Delle Moda Italiana. Scott takes amazing inspiration to creation to a complex extravagance with a big message.
Moschino's new collection is complex with a change from the whimsical spring summer  2017 paper doll runway show. The presence of the military is strong through out the show adding sections to the deeper message he finds in his inspiration. The use of transformers, frescos from the renaissance, military, and the presence of good and evil.
The beginning of the show brings an ominous feel to the future. The use of bold colors, futuristic prints, and monochromatic pieces play with the sense of the future and battles ahead. There is a presence of traditional designs in the clothing.
Scott continues the traditional designs from the countdown clocks to the military section of the collection. Very solid military sense in the traditional design. The good and evil struggle is seen with the beautiful flowers and hard lines of the military hardware. The military prints with traditional designs are covered with hard lines and hardware you would find in a military uniform. The use of textures are tulle to leather straps. The shoes, beret hats (designed by Judy Blame),  and jackets are strong with the military influences.
The transition to the renaissance is a sense of the beauty, but quickly you notice you are not able to connect the beauty. The bondage straps give the reality that this is something we cannot have. There fabric prints present the fresco paining often found in art from that time period. Scott closes the 70 piece collection with the hope for the future.
Scott's Moschino line is a luxury brand. Scott is an American designer from LA. His started in 1998 at Paris Fashion Week. His brands are known for a more whimsical design and inspiration. This collections inspiration did present a new aesthetic, but did have pieces with the traditional whimsical feel. The inspiration for the collection is the unknown future, but as dark the future may seem beauty and art will always be prevail.

Styling, Fashion, & Beauty Trends 2017

Starting a new year many take a moment to set a resolution. A great resolution is setting own style. This brings a fresh new look, start, and time to go shopping. The year 2017 will be a year with many great styling, fashion, and beauty trends.
The top trend to 2017 is a flashback step to the 80s. Allure Magazine states, "Apparently, in 2017 we'll all be wearing 1980s-inspired clothing, at least according to two of the latest analytical forecasts of next year's trends." This will be big hair, shoulders, and pop culture from electronic music and movies. Post your favorite 1980s trends here

High Pony Tails

Hair trends will be the slick and shinny, the really wet look. Get out that flat iron and get those golden locks straight. Creating a high pony tails and the occasional waves is a change during the year. Grow out those layers it is about straight edges and blunts. Maily O'Neil, owner at Mai Salon El Paseo, states, "trends starts with yourself. Everyone has a different texture, and needs with our personal life. Protect your hair with sunscreen or product worth using. Your hair is an investment. Hair is like fabric the more you use it the more it falls apart." Long gone is the colors of the rainbow bring on the golden blonde for the hair trend this year.

Nails often get an overlook with everyday styling. Finished nails gives your style a completed look. Tavao, Director at Makeup By Tavao, states, "The biggest nail trend for 2017 with be Glitter & Holographic nails." You can create your nails with various shapes, super glam, flair, and colors. This trend is a way to tie your style together.
The shoe trend is lower heels and the mule. The days of 6" plus heels are gone. Women are looking more for a comfortable shoe that is practical for walking. The shoe is the open back designed with fabric (embellished, velvet, satin, or canvas).  Will we see Lisa Vanderpump is a shorter heel with the trend?

Gabriel Styles Ua stylist to the celebrities, is looking forward to the continued embroidered lace and mesh from the fall winter 2016 trends. The embroidered lace look is a top trend creating an edge to classy styles. The corset is out the door, but this lace up look will bring a similar look. This trend will carry from shoes to formal gowns.

Makeup Trends 2017
Makeup trends help complete the look you are trying to style. Brenda Liz, make up artist for Style Fashion Week in Palm Springs, states, "purple and lila on lips, eyeshadow is burgundy." The matte lip is changing to a light coat of lip gloss, glitter, and adding dimension. This will bring more shine and shape. Eyebrows are taking on a more straight natural look. The conturing trend will start to switch to a more nature fresh look. Is this trend taking a tip from Alicia Keys

These trends can assist with creating your style for 2017. Pantone recently named the color for the year 2017 "Greenery." This color will not only be a top hit with your fashion colors, and all areas of design. Pantone states this color brings, "a new beginning, a refreshing, and revitalizing shade." Wonder if stylist will use this color for this year's award season

Gabriel Styles U believes, "bringing ones image to life is simple. BE YOURSELF. Don’t conform to what people want or think you should look like. Wear your clothing with confidence, smile, and seize the day.” Have fun creating your beauty look for 2017. Please share your styling selfies here with #4ChionStyle.

The Walking Man ~ D' Jesus Trujillo

Eva Capra D' Jesus 4Chion Lifestyle
D' Jesus Trujillo graces the world with his own personal style on the red carpet and catwalk. He states, "It is all in the confidence." Trujillo brings his latin flare, confidence, and style to his walk anywhere.
  • "How did life’s journey bring you to television, runway training, and production?"
    • "I have always had a fascination with Style and Fashion. When I was in my teens, I moved to Mexico City to become an actor. My dream was to move to the United States and break into Hollywood. While studying at the Andreas Soler Academy I taught modeling and choreography to support my education. I realized that I had a passion for the industry and my desire to pursue this path as a career developed."
    • "After moving to California, I found it was a struggle just to survive. My resolve to succeed intensified not just for me, but to help others like me who have a passion for design, modeling and style. I wanted to prove to myself and show others that success can be achieved with focus, determination and patience. One night while watching Univision, I saw a feature on a Latina designer who made it big in the U.S. Her story inspired me to reach for the impossible and to never be ashamed of who I am or where I came from."
  • "As a business owner in the fashion and entertainment arena what one piece of insight would you share?"
    • "Never give up your dreams and never compromise who you are. Your uniqueness is one of your biggest assets."

  • "What are the changes to fashion shows and runways you have seen in the last few years?"
    • "Acceptance of and a trend toward more ‘real’ models. I am seeing more models who don’t fit the traditional ideals. Models who are shorter, plus sized, older and those who push traditional gender boundaries are becoming more common. I believe this is a healthy trend for the Industry and for the public."
  • "When looking for talent what are the top three items do you look for?"
    • "Personality. Charisma and personality is key to being able to sell a garment."
    • "Looks. Uniqueness or the 'X-Factor' needs to match the image of the designer and the garments that will be on the runway."
    • Confident. All-inclusive walk and presence that will transform each garment into “fashion”
  • "How does social media play in your business and training?"
    • "Social Media is essentially primary to getting my image and my message out. It is invaluable for networking and for keeping up with fashion trends both in style and design. You cannot be successful today without a strong social media presence."

  • "Recently you had some cameos on Strut,  produced by Whoopi Goldberg, what does this show bring to the transgender community and the fashion industry?"
    • "Strut is groundbreaking in showing that the Transgendered Community consists of people with normal lives who have the courage to be who they are. It provides courage and inspiration to an unimaginably huge population of people who struggle to find themselves and fully develop to their full potential regardless of the challenges they face in our culture. It also shows the status quo in the industry that it’s who you are, not what you are supposed to be that holds star potential."

  • "What is the one thing you do each morning to start off your day?"
    • "Each day I wake up, put my feet on the floor and thank God for the gift of another day in this life. Then I go to social media to review what’s come in overnight and to communicate with those who reach out to me. I review the latest fashion news about my friends and colleagues and begin to formulate a motivational message that I can send out to those who follow me."
  • "When was a time when an event went from stress to best?"
    • Every event presents different challenges, from models who do not show up to missing accessories or shoes. No show ever goes off without unexpected events that must be dealt with. The key is to expect the unexpected and to improvise. The public doesn’t know the planned script so the final product is what’s important.
  • "Working fashion shows what is a typical day start to finish?"
    • "The day cannot start without my coffee! LOL Typically I begin by reviewing the lineup for the show, from garments to accessories to make sure everything is correct according to the models who are going to wear them."
    • "Next I have a meeting with the Team (keeping in mind that the show is based on teamwork). Review any last minute changes. Communication is important."
    • Check on hair and makeup to insure everyone knows their assignment and they have what they need to do their work."
    • "Assign an assistant for each model."
    • "Rehearse each model so they know their timing and choreography on the runway."
    • "Coach individual models as needed"
    • "Review final preparations and make sure the team is ready for the show."
    • "Lights, Cameras, action."
  • "Working with some of the top fashion magazines, fashion weeks, and photographers what does working behind scenes bring to the final production?"
    • "As with any production, what you see on stage is only the tip of the iceberg. There is so much talent, creativity, and intensity that takes place behind the scenes it’s really unbelievable. Working in a creative and cutting edge industry such as fashion requires quick and innovative thinking, coordination between designers, models, producers, hair and makeup artists, right down to those who take care of the coffee. Every person, no matter how seemingly insignificant to the final product, is essential to the success of that production. I am always amazed at the dedication of everyone involved and how it brings the final show together as a success"
d-jesus-shoes-4chion-lifestyle-a
"Image is an important addition with the rise in selfies what is one focus you think could improve a person’s image?"
    • "Confidence! Confidence with a bit of sassiness really provides the charisma that attracts others. Wear it, Own it, Sell it!"
  • "You present a great cohesive style. How did you discover your personal style?"
    • "My style comes from a desire to be sexy, sassy, and fun to work with. My inspiration comes from my native culture in Mexico. I seek ways to use and promote indigenous fashion in the mainstream. Being bold, confident and sometimes outrageous is what inspires me to create and to be who I am."
Trujillo works this at each event, project, and runway he attends. We always looks to see the shoes that tie his personality, style, and confidence together. Many days on Facebook you will find a words of wisdom with a picture of one sexy shoe. He practice what he teaches each day.
Trujillo states, "I always encourage everyone to practice, practice, practice and to be comfortable with who you are. Have patience and remember, it’s not enough to dream. You have to take action for those dreams to become reality." He draws his influence from Coco Chanel
Chanel demonstrates Trujillo's statement about never giving up. Chanel's life story is her determination, energy and ambition coming from nothing to big global success! His favorite quote from Chanel is, "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, in our ideas, the way we live, what is happening." Trujillo lives this each day.

He provides a vision to his life with his personal style, work ethic, and dedication. Keep an eye this year on social media to see the shoes that tie Trujillo's style, mission, and uniqueness.
