Equal Beauty ~ Dair

Odair Pereira, Dair designer, creates collections that emphasis a personal identity. Dair's fall winter 2017 collection at Art Hearts Fashion Week at the Beverly Hilton  is clothing that brings equality and beauty to everyone.

The season's collection takes a turn from spring summer bold colors. Fall tones and black with strong lines. We continue to see that there is more to fashion than fabric with the collections. There is an emphasis on art, geometrics, and movements.

The collections brings a fusion of streetwear and couture. This provides a successful clothing line that has a modern edge allowing for a unique personal style. Pereira states, "DAIR emphasizes that all clothing needs to visualize your true identity, which makes you stand out at all times." The styling continues with this vision.

April Love Pro Makeup Academy provided a geometric eyes makeup for the women with a couture abstract design. The shapes creations completed with Bdellium tools and Crown Pro makeup. Hair is very strong lines and dimension: high pony tails, square and circle buns on the top of the head, men's hair shapes with were specially created by Myo Lai in collaboration with CoCre8 powered by Sexy Hair.

Singer songwriter Jaki Nelson performs What We Want to Do opening the runway. She is wearing Dair, a sneak peek to the runway.

Pereira brings a strong design and styling to the collection. He states, "the main object is to make you feel the best version of yourself. All of this adds up together in our slogan: DAIR to be first, DAIR to be different, DAIR to be you! DAIR collection fits it all."  This collection presents beauty and equality. Jeannie Mai Metro Fashion Week

Jeannie Mai, television personality, introduces Steven Grossman. She states, "I will never forget New York Fashion Week FW 2013. This is the time when Steven got the news that his son, Graydon, has autism. The challenges for this family included finances, energy, lack of understanding from society, and understanding special needs. Steven posted this news on social media on July 20, 2013. He exposed one of the most challenging roles of a parent's life. He did not want his family to feel isolated, unsupported or alone. He recognizes that if we all had a little more sympathy and understanding for families we can create a more harmonious future for our kids. A man who puts his wife and kids first." Grossman provides awareness with conversation and continued support of Autism Speaks.
Steve Grossman Metro Fashion Week

Grossman takes the audience on the lessons his family learned from Graydon and his diagnosis. He states, "first be kind to each other. 1 in 42 boys does not mean anything to you if your life isn't profoundly impacted. Lesson two I don't really know what normal or traditional means anymore in our society. In my family we've started living with much greater awareness of all things we take for granted. With my son we've learned to appreciate simple milestones like his willings to wear his winter coat without a fight. Lesson three I feel compelled to tell you I'm not even the real hero. Those people are the folks from this charity, the doctors, the ABA and OT therapists, like Jane, Nay, and Amanda that work over 40 hours a week with children like my son. As I told Matt Asner, when he asked me to accept this award, I personally didn't think I did enough yet to deserve it. We went back and forth a bit about it, but I finally agreed that I would earn it. I will graciously and humbly accept this award on your behalf. I will continue to earn it."
Graydon enjoyed the evening and told reporters about his dinosaurs. As the evening came to a close. He enjoyed the blue runway playing with his dinosaurs with his mother by his side.

The evening filled with exceptional fashion on the blue runway. Designers include David Tupaz, Delia MacPhee, Sivalia Couture, and Ron Tomson. Many designers present designs in blue, the Autism awareness color.
The ability to be more kind and understanding will help those families, children, and many on the autism spectrum have acceptance and compassion.
